Aegialis Hotel & Spa is located in the heart of Amorgos Islands by the Aegean Sea. The island often described as having “magical energy” that mystics say is owed to crystal formations underneath it. ABOUT YOUR RETREAT HOST
E-RYT 500, CYT, RPYT, YACEP Attentive to detail and leading with intuition, Nadia is a truth seeker in every sense. Her steadfast curiosity and ambition continuously push the envelope, opening doors to new ideas, experiences and opportunities to re-emerge.
As an internationally known yoga, and movement teacher and educator, Nadia leads with soul, fire and intent, and empathy which attributes to a teaching style that is both uplifting and powerful, yet also intuitive and nourishing.
Her association with yoga began at birth having been raised in a Vedic household, thus fueling her fire to create a yoga school that combines both the traditional and modern sides of yoga. She is extremely passionate about education, intelligent movement, personal growth, and discovering the world. Working in the tourism industry for over 20 years, and her 16 years of experience as a travel writer and retreat leader has given Nadia a deep respect for culture and a dedication to sharing moments of depth and true meaning.
Her goal is that any and every student leaves feeling nourished, spiritually inspired, and empowered.
GETTING THERE
DO I NEED A VISA TO VISIT GREECE?
Not required for stays less than 90 days; visa required for all official and diplomatic passport holders.
Make sure that you have a passport valid for at least 6 months from the arrival date or you will be turned away from your departing city. You must also have proof of a return ticket.
WHAT AIRPORT DO I FLY INTO?
Amorgos does not have an airport but is easily reached with daily ferries and high speed vessels. Athens International Airport (ATH) is the most convenient to arrive.
Ferries start from Athens port, Piraeus and dock alternately at the two ports of Amorgos Island: Katapola and Aegiali (near to the hotel).
All options for your transfer from Athens International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos to the port of Piraeus:

Bus: Express bus X96 leaves every 20 minutes during the day and every 40 minutes at night from the Athens International Airport Arrivals Level (between Entrance 4 and 5) to “Karaiskaki Square” in Piraeus, right outside the ferry port. The ticket costs 5.00€. The trip takes from about 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1 hour and a half.
Metro: The subway will take you from the airport to Monastiraki station. There you will change to line 1 (green line). The end of line 1 is Piraeus station, just outside the entrance to the ferry port. The journey time from Athens International Airport to the port of Piraeus is about one hour. Trains are every half hour (:00 and :30), with the first service departing the airport at 05:30 and the last service at 23:30.
Taxi: This is the most hassle-free way. The drive from the airport to the port takes 45 to 60 minutes.
During summer season, from the middle of June until the middle of September, Amorgos ports can also be reached with high speed vessels departing from Piraeus and Rafina ports. Vessels like Seajet Superjet deliver services to Amorgos during that period.
HOW DO I GET TO THE RETREAT FROM THE PORT?
We can arrange private or shared transportation for you. It takes approximately 30 minutes from the airport, or 34 km.

WHAT IS THE ELECTRICAL CURRENT/OUTLET IN GREECE?
For Greece there are two associated plug types C and F. Plug type C is the plug which has two round pins and plug type F is the plug which has two round pins with two earth clips on the side. Greece operates on a 230V supply voltage and 50Hz.
WHAT IS THE CURRENCY?
Greece uses Euros as their currence. You can bring your own currency over and convert it, or use ATM machines to withdraw Euros. ATM withdrawal fees vary bank to bank, so make sure you check in with yours to get all the info. Many restaurants and stores take credit cards. Don't forget to let your bank or credit card company know you are traveling.
WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE AND WHAT SHOULD I PACK?
The islands experience temperatures from 18°C to 31°C (64°F to 88°F) in September. The weather is warm and pleasant, perfect for beach activities, and exploring the islands, and the sea is still warm, ideal for swimming.

We offer a pay in full option or payment plans that can be modified for your needs. All payment plans are subject to a $100 fee. We accept all types of payments with cards, PayPal, cash, e-transfer or wire transfer.
IS MY TRIP REFUNDABLE?
No. The retreat centre has a very strict no refund policy. If you cancel your trip, they do not offer refunds for any reason. That being said, any reservation can be transferred to another guest in case you sell your spot to someone else in the lieu of having to cancel. We recommend you take out travel or health insurance if you are concerned about this.
